In this unit you will develop your personal and professional aspirations through a series of practical workshops to support your specialist area of study as identified in the unit Diagnostic Studies. You will develop your specialist knowledge and skills in Costume with Performance Design or costume construction through the study of appropriate historical, cultural and dramatic contexts for performance.
Outline Syllabus
- Workshops and demonstrations in subject specific skills
- Self initiated research as directed by your chosen discipline
- Enquiry into cut and construction or design as appropriate
Method of Delivery
Lectures, workshops and demonstrations, group and individual tutorials, self-initiated educational visit/field study, studio practice and independent study.
Aims
A1 To develop contextual understanding of Costume with Performance Design and its practical application.
A2 To further develop the creative, intellectual and practical applications of specialist study to the appropriate level.
A3 To encourage in-depth learning and decision making through the development of specialist technical skills.
A4 To further develop your problem solving skills related to the development of your own work.
