Visual Studies 3

Study Abroad Architecture Course Modules

Credit Points: 15
Study Time: 150

This unit is designed to give a grounding in the skills of measured drawing and drafting. An existing building is visited, drawn and measured according to the conventions of architectural drawing. Site visits also introduce the issues of site health and safety and require an element of group collaboration.

These skills allow the drafting of an accurate representation of a structure for record and design purposes. The drafting of these drawings requires an understanding of the act of drawing. These first drawings are used to understand the issues of digital drafting.
