During this unit you will look at the way the digital photographic image is used within a commercial context and the practical and creative implications of this.
Building on skills learnt in the Autumn Term unit Digital Darkroom (3 October - 9 December 2011), Digital Production introduces you to more advanced manipulation techniques offering greater creative potential. The unit introduces you to to the creative potential of the technologies and methods involved in the production of commercial images. You will be introduced to the current developments in photographic technology and practices. Using this knowledge you will be able to identify oportunites for your own development using established approaches or through experimentation with emerging technologies.
