Specialist Practice 2

Study Abroad Film Production Course Modules

Credit Points: 30
Study Time: 300 Hours

This unit follows on from Specialist Practice 1 and both units together form the supporting spine of your second year of study. You will continue to explore in depth your specialist area of film production through a series of workshops and short exercises providing you with further opportunities to develop your skills knowledge and ability.

Your work will both reflect industry practice and enhance your team working skills, in particular through working as an assistant in your specialism to Level 6 students on their graduation films.

In making all films, preparation is the key to success. Workshops will focus on the pre-production stage of the process. These workshops can be both within your specialist area and across the disciplines.

By undertaking a case study of a current practitioner, personal contacts in the industry may be made which can be of long-term benefit and assist you in assessment of future employment possibilities.
